SES announced today that for the first time in the history of television in Germany, more viewers are watching TV via satellite than via cable. At the end of 2011, 17.5 million households were watching TV via satellite, almost 900,000 more than in the previous year.

Alabama-LSU game draws second-highest rating in cable history
ESPN announced Tuesday that the BCS National Championship Game drew the second-highest ratings in cable television history. It drew a 16.2 overnight rating, according to Nielsen. That's an average of 16,072,000 households and estimated 24,214,000 viewers.
